With a spirit of service, Ahead of Hair is driven to lend our talents and resources to strengthen our community and make a difference in countless ways. Children will always find a special place in our hearts. We are happy to use our talents to their advantage through the support of several local organizations:
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Using donated hair, Locks of Love creates the highest quality hair prosthetics.
Their mission is to “return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children.” The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need.

ASK, The Association for the Support of Children with Cancer, provides financial, spiritual, social and emotional support to pediatric cancer patients at MCV Hospital/VCU Health Systems. We are proud to support the foundation in its mission of Making Life Better for Children with Cancer.
