Hot Style Tips

We hear, "Can I take you home with me" all the time! Here are some styling tips to make your at home blowdrying a bit easier!

-Heat protectants have to be applied to wet hair before the drying process takes place. These products put a barrier on your hair to protect from burning and adding frizz. They also help add shine, smoothness, and volume.  Ask your stylist which product would be the most beneficial for your hair type.

-Brushes are not  a one size fits all tool. Make sure you are using the right size brush for your lenth and desired style. A large round brush or a large paddle brush will straighten curly and course hair, a medium round brush will smooth OR add body to medium to long hair, and a small round brush will add volume and curl to shorter hair.

-A nozzle on the tip of your blowdryer will direct the heat and the air flow and give you a smoother blow dry.

-A diffuser will allow you to dry curly or wavy hair without adding frizz.

-Sectioning your hair while you dry makes all the difference in the world! Use clips to hold your hair up and allow you to dry sections of hair just like your stylist does.

-Hair has to be 100% dry before you add any other heat tools such as irons or curlers! Adding these heat tools to damp hair can actually burn your hair!
