Faith did amazing! I've been getting a full highlight for over 15 years now and tried someone new, I was nervous about her being so young but this is the best I've ever had and she did so great with the consultation questions. This appointment was a little bit longer than what I'm used to but it proves she took her time to make it perfect. I love it and will use her again in the future.

Her professionalism and expertise were evident from the moment I sat in her chair. Emily is incredibly kind, patient, and was always making sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process! She is also very easy to talk to, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I had a balayage and a haircut done (before and after pics below), and the outcome was simply fantastic. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly and exceed all of my expectations! Let me start by saying that the salon is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. What made it even better, was Callie. She was absolutely amazing and really understood what I was going for. I asked to do a strawberry blonde look that had a lot of details to it. I know that’s not an easy color to deal with sometimes since there are so many variations. We really understood each other so well and she was so sweet and amazing to talk to. I will say that this is absolutely the first time I have truly felt like I found the person for me. I have liked stylists before in the past, but not like this. She is absolutely wonderful and she colored and cut my hair exactly as I would’ve hoped. I am very particular about how I want my hair thinned and layered and she did just that. I did not have to sway her to do more like I had expressed that I have with other people in the past lolol. Team Callie!!!

Carlee is a very caring, considerate stylist - she’s very knowledgeable and listens to what you are asking for or needing help with as far as decision making. The remodel on the salon looks amazing and really glams it up! Definitely recommend!

I cannot recommend Caitlin Thompson enough! I saw her a few years ago, but when I moved out to New Kent I tried places closer to home and was never happy after a haircut. I am so happy I decided to start making the drive to see her again and am so happy with my haircut. I will definitely keep making the drive out to her from now on!

Today was my first visit to the Salon, and one of the best salon experiences I’ve had in years. Everybody here is smiling and friendly, and there’s a very happy vibe about the place. The interior is gorgeous, with a bright, clean, warm-modern look, and comfortable, roomy chairs. Heather listened intently as we talked about my cut & styling preferences, my hair texture, etc. and my haircut turned out exactly as I had hoped it would. Her assistant, Samantha, worked magic with the curling iron, giving me the loose waves I like, and even gave me helpful styling tips as she worked. The price was very reasonable for the service I received. They have an extensive stock of hair products, and I picked up a hair growth serum to help with some thinning issues I’ve been having. I am looking forward to my next appointment!

Erin is the best!! Though I opted for a wet cut and no styling, the cut was done so well it looked styled by the time I got home. My husband even said so. She gave every advice on products and made me feel like more than a customer. The front desk staff were adorable and incredibly friendly. I would absolutely recommend to anyone.

I had the absolute best experience at this salon. I have really blonde hair and have had trouble finding a salon that gets my hair to the blonde I want it at and I have tried many salons. I booked my appointment with Makayla and I will go back to her every time from now on! My hair looks exactly like the picture I showed her and it was super affordable which is hard to find! I will definitely be going back and booking with Makayla!
Natoshia is a highly skilled stylist with great listening skills. She has cut and colored my hair for years. She knows my hair and makes all necessary adjustments as I get older (treatment, color changes and style). Her training is always up to date and current to trends. Natoshia has a great personality to add to her styling expertise. I highly recommend her.

Relocated and needed a new salon and this place did not disappoint!! Cole was amazing all around. Very friendly and we had great conversations. I’m very low maintenance with my hair and did not have much guidance to provide him but the end result was perfect! Will definitely be back and to see Cole!
Taylor did an amazing job with my hair! She not only paid great attention to detail, but she listened to my hair concerns and what I was looking for. I battle hair that gets greasy quickly and that’s nearly always frizzy. She gave great advice and tips on how I can manage my hair in the future and I’m excited to try them out myself! She’s also very personable and is great at maintaining a conversation. For all of that, the price is well worth it (I honestly thought it would be way more with what and how she did). Overall, I’m very pleased with my appointment today and I’m looking forward to the next time I come back!!

I hadn’t had a haircut in 2 years, and was apprehensive about trying this place out as I’ve never been. There was a slight mixup upon check-in, because I have the same name as another client, but despite the miscommunication (which let’s be honest, happens everywhere) everything went perfect! I appreciate the staff listening to my wants and giving me exactly what I asked for. The hairstylist was super personable (I forgot her name I’m sorry!), and the associates were helpful when she had to move on to her next appointment. I’m definitely only coming here the next time I need anything done on my hair.

SO happy with our day at Ahead of Hair yesterday. We saw Sam and Katie, who treated both my daughters like total rockstars. We had a pretty extensive job done with my oldest and Sam was awesome at explaining everything and making sure we knew the best way to maintain the look. Both my kids were super happy, my oldest said: "It's exactly what I wanted." Couldn't ask for more. Will def be returning.

I have been coming to Ahead of Hair for many years. The salon is attractive, in a good location, and the personnel are both courteous and competent.
I highly recommend Morgan at Ahead of Hair. She always does the perfect cut, color, and highlights. While a bit costly like any good salon, you pay for the expertise and confidence that the cut and color will be exactly what is expected.
